Our Humble Beginnings…
In 1995, an idea was born when Nancy Kremin, President of Sophisticated Shoppers, Inc. said "there has to be something better than these flimsy coupon holders to organize my coupons" and "that she would use and not forget to take to the store". As a busy mother of four young boys and career women staying organized and trying to save more money was a problem. She began looking for a better organizer and could not find one so she invented and later trademarked The Coupon Wallet® Organizer. Nancy incorporated all the features she wanted in a wallet combined with the features she needed to organize coupons and included scissors, calculator, pen, index cards and a coordinated shopping system. Although she had a great idea and a prototype it wasn't enough. It also takes a lot of time and money to launch a business which she did not have. Her boys were still young ages 2 to 12 and she worked 60 hours a week as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a large cemetery and funeral home in Orange County. Nancy decided to put her idea and project in a box and filed it away and said "maybe someday I can do this".
In 2003, while attending a marketing class at the University of LaVerne, one of the class projects was to invent a product, prepare a marketing plan and give a presentation to the class on how to bring it to market. Still a very busy career woman managing a large sales force, to save time she decided to dig up her old idea since she had done most of the groundwork in the mid 90's. The realization was that - "this really is a great product and why not look bring this excellent idea to market?" Her instructor challenged her to go for it - he said it was a super product - so she did. Nancy worked long hours as the Regional Manager for Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries while also taking care of her family. She literally burned the mid-night oil and gave up her weekends to bring this wonderful product - no longer an idea, to you!
